Helping Men Become The Man, Partner and Father They've Always Wanted To Be
Journey to Fatherhood was born out of personal healing, hard-earned wisdom, and a desire to support men through one of life’s most sacred transitions. This isn’t just about being a better dad — it’s about becoming a more whole man.

Connor’s Story: From Wounded Son to Conscious Father
My name is Connor.
And for the first 28 years of my life, I didn’t look after my mind, body, or spirit at all. I drank, smoked, took whatever was in front of me, ate badly, slept less, and lived fast. I thought I was free — but my nervous system was slowly breaking. That path led me to anxiety, depression, psychosis… and eventually fighting for my life.
I grew up in a “normal” family — loving, messy, human. My mum asked my dad to leave when I was nine. Three kids were easier than four. Like many boys, I grew up without a father. And like many boys, I told myself I didn’t care.
At school I found the other lost boys. The ones who couldn’t sit still for six hours a day. We were labelled disruptive, disobedient, bad.
No one asked what we were missing. We learned early to harden up, go it alone, and become men without being shown how.
By 13 I had found alcohol and cannabis. By 15 I was rarely sober.
By 17 the house parties turned into clubs, late nights, and long weekends that never really ended. I wasn’t a bad kid. I worked. I studied. I showed up for family. But I was distant. Searching. Numbing. Trying to figure out who I was without any map.
That hunger for meaning and experience turned into travel. I became a nomadic explorer, visiting over 50 countries, having the time of my life, learning from cultures, traditions, and ways of living far removed from my own. But alongside the jungles and mountains, I climbed another ladder — career, money, status. On paper, I was “doing well”. Inside, I was falling apart.
So I ran again.
And in 2019, after years of addiction, recent heartbreak, and running from myself, my system finally collapsed. In rural Cambodia I experienced a psychotic episode — four days without sleep, food, or rest. Mania. Fear. Confusion. Meaning layered on top of meaning.
I lost touch with what most people call reality.
I was detained, sedated, restrained, and eventually flown back to the UK.
What followed was quieter — and darker.
Nine months of clinical depression. Deep shame. Disconnection. Suicidal thoughts. Learning how to survive one day at a time.
But slowly, through meditation, therapy, community, men’s work, and deep self-enquiry, something shifted. I didn’t just want to survive — I wanted to understand. Then I began to thrive. That moment became the beginning of a lifelong devotion to studying the mind, body, and spirit.
Since then, I’ve immersed myself in psychology, neuroscience, philosophy, trauma work, ancient wisdom, and holistic health. I’ve helped build spaces and communities for healing and connection. I’ve facilitated men’s work, retreats, and transformational gatherings.
And then came my greatest initiation.
Love. Partnership. Fatherhood.
Meeting my partner, a radical birthkeeper, and consciously preparing for natural birth changed me forever. In 2023, our son was born powerfully and peacefully at home. Becoming a father didn’t just change my life — it reorganised me from the inside out.
After 3 years living in a small community on the Jurassic Coast, raising our son close to nature, alongside 4 other families, we’re continuing the adventure to the mountains of North of Wales.
I now work as a guide, facilitator, storyteller, and coach — supporting men to heal, prepare, and step into fatherhood with presence and integrity.
This work isn’t theory.
It’s lived. It’s shared. It’s collective.
And it’s the most honest thing I can offer.
